What Do You Value?

Over the last 18 months of being a new mum I have definitely gained insight into just how challenging it can be to juggle it all & throw a world pandemic into the mix, it has at times been overwhelming.

We have all struggled in different ways & I do know the separation from loved ones has been really hard so I hope this blog uplifts you & gets you thinking about the bigger picture stuff of life.

Defining & holding strong to my core values has helped me stay true to myself & my family, even amongst the chaos. When you live out what you truly value in life it is so rewarding.

When I take on a The Muscle Mumma client one of the first things I ask is;

What Do You Value?

Our values are the things we hold of most importance. When we strip back our superficial layer & Instagram/Facebook highlight reel what is at our core, what do we truly hold dear?

When we start to ask ourselves that, we start to define what we really want in life & naturally we will start to welcome that in. When we are completely sold out to our values, permanent positive change is inevitable.

When we have established these values we have to live them & the best way to do that is;

Align Yourself With People That Reiterate Your Values

How often we compromise our core values. It is sometimes easier to just do what everyone else is doing because it’s uncomfortable to make a stand or be different & “stick to your guns" but it will eventually leave you feeling empty & definately won’t help draw you closer to personal success in life.

If you align yourself with people who reinforce your core values it will lead to more lifelong positive change & you are far less likely to compromise.

The last point I find helpful in “sticking to your guns” is;

Don’t Be Distracted & Give Energy To Things That Don’t Align With Your Core Values

Oh boy, if we bottled up all the energy we spent dwelling over that one negative comment or circumstance & redirected it into focusing on our core values we would be so much further ahead in life…I hate to even think how many hours I’ve wasted over the years thinking of things that add no value to my life whatsoever.

My biggest tip here is, just redirect the thought. You have to train the brain to refocus your worry or negative thought otherwise it can overtake you & ultimately start to effect your physical health.

I hope you go away after reading this & start to define what you truly value, then go out and find a support network that reiterates these values. If you do need help with setting yourself up for lifelong positive change join one of my The Muscle Mumma Coaching Programs.

We focus predominately on how to change your core values to include healthy choices. When it becomes a value, it becomes an effortless permanent change in your world.

Have a great evening all & I really hope this blog has added value to your world. If it has, let me know! Drop a comment below & I’ll keep them coming.

Yours in hormone health & fitness,

Sally Gatt
